Our rate is on a 24 hours basis.

Can I cancel a booking?
Cancellation can be made online or send an email to info@mauritius-carhire.com   
An minimum administration fee will be payable.

Do I need a driver’s license to rent a car in Mauritius?
The drivers must show a valid national or international driving license upon the car delivery. If your driving license is in non-Roman Alphabet (Chinese – Arabic, Hindi), an international license will be mandatory.

I have a foreign driving license. Can I drive in Mauritius?z 
Yes, you can drive with your foreign license.

Who else can drive the car?
Only those drivers mentioned on the rental contract can drive and covered by the insurance.

Is it safe to book online?
It is safe to book online thru the platform at http://mauritius-carhire.com. We care about the security of our online shoppers. To avoid internet fraud, and we also detect double charges if any. Where do you deliver?
Request your car anywhere on the island, and we will be there. We deliver all around the island.

What happens in case of an accident?
In case of accident, please follow these steps.

01. Never move your car, even if it causes a traffic jam. You have yellow chalk in the
      glove box, use it to mark all the four tires, the front, back, left and right side of the
      car on the road. The other car position must also be marked on the road too. Take
      some pictures of the scene and then you can move your car.
02. Take a picture of the car driver’s license and the insurance vignette found on the
      windscreen.
03. If there is someone injured, call the police. If not, then fill up the accident consent
      form found in the car. Keep one copy for you and the other will be for the other
      driver.
04. Our insurance company will need your version of the road accident. Our staff will
       help you with this.

How does the booking engine work?
Very user friendly, the booking engine is easy to use. You need to follow the step by step instructions provided. You first pick an arrival and departure date as well as pick-up and drop-off locations and the time. Press the button ‘Book My Car’, you will see the respective rates for each category of car available. Choose your vehicle and select the options you want and then proceed to the checkout. Enter your valid card details to make the payment. You will receive your receipt and booking confirmation voucher by email.

What if I want to upgrade my booking?
If you want to upgrade your booking, please notify us in advance. You will have to pay the difference fee. Upgrading is subject to availability of vehicles.
